Borrego Springs Wildflower Report | January 24, 2026

The desert is looking pretty magical right now. On January 24, 2026, my husband and I rode our bikes from our home in Borrego Springs to Henderson Canyon to check on the wildflowers, and the difference a week makes is remarkable!

What We’re Seeing Here in Borego

While it’s not a Super Bloom yet, the color is spreading even more widely, with more clusters of sand verbena, desert primrose, and desert lilies appearing. Check it out:

From a local’s perspective, it’s amazing to watch the desert transform day by day, and more folks come in from out of town to see how beautiful it’s become.
